Welcome
back!
This
week we will be beginning our unit on habitats and communities. Habitats are natural homes where animals,
plants, and other organisms live.
This is a photo of Brazil’s rainforest
Brazil’s rainforest is home to thousands of animals. The Amazon Rainforest covers over a billion acres surrounding Brazil, Venezuela, and Colombia. It has been called the lungs of our planet because it recycles a majority of the world’s carbon dioxide into oxygen. The rainforest provides humans and animals with many fruits such as avocados, coconuts, figs, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, bananas, guavas, pineapples, mangos and tomatoes.
